The idea is to get up, walk away from your desk and watch the bag soak in the hot water for a while. That and cooling down the tea will give you some precious minutes. Sometimes that’s all you need. [...]

I was also fired twice. First time (very similar to yours) the owner decided after a month he didn't like me. I was aware of that fact but thought I was gonna make it anyway. His son gave me a very fuzzy excuse I can't remember right now, and there was true sorrow on his face. He was fond of me. The funny thing is that this company called me to go back to them 2 weeks after being fired. Luckily, I was already in another job (where I met Gus!). Then, several years later, I was fired from a little company due to 2001 crisis. Half of the staff got fired the same day. In both opportunities I felt that all of a sudden, there was no pressure on me to get things done, and my manager seemed too busy to pay any attention to me. Regarding the second experience, I could see expenses being seriously cut a couple of weeks before getting fired.

Hi Ricardo!
I never understood the Starbucks habit, maybe because their coffee tastes like mud to me. I do know people love them but me... I don't even like their cookies.
Tastes, tastes! That's why there are so many :)!!!
